I wanted to cross over from the Aarhus - Silkeborg path to Hærvejen. After a few kilometres I reached the connecting path to Naturstien Horsens - Silkeborg. This path follows the former railway tracks. One half is paved and the other half is sand and grass. This allows cyclists and as well walker and horse rider to use it on ground that is most suitable for them. Near Them I came across a long distance running competition and had to make room for the runners. North of Vrads is a well marked connecting path to Hærvejen, which will be reached near Vrads Sande. Passing the edge of the heather and then through forests I reached the pilgrims hostel at Nørre Snede in the afternoon. These hostels are open during June, July and August for all pilgrims, walkers and cyclists. In addition to a large bunkroom with double deck beds there is a fully equipped kitchen, warm showers and complete toilet facilities. And this is open for a very low price. Most offer groceries for sale too.
