Ia.6    Section Road 889 - Russenes   10 km

I was not in any rush in the morning. While packing up my stuff it started drizzling but luckily it stopped soon after. After a short hike I arrived at road 889. This paved road went down to Olderfjord where it merges with road E69 coming from North Cape. Around 10:00 a.m. I arrived in Russenes where I took a room for the night.

Following a long shower I went for the hotel laundry. Next to the hotel there is a souvenir shop and a restaurant. As the hotel is directly along road E69 which leads to North Cape there is all day long plenty of traffic. The supermarket is a bit away from the hotel along the road I will have to walk tomorrow. As I had arrived early I had plenty of time to relax. I could watch several strong showers from my room in the afternoon. For dinner I had a reindeer steak at the restaurant. I did not have such a tender steak for a long time.
