Today's hike was all day long along River Reisaelva. Being in a valley with ridges leading steeply down to the water meant that I started hiking in the clouds. Later the sun came out turning it into a nice day. The trail is well marked. In the beginning it was easy to hike. Later it became more and more overgrown blocking the view of the ground. Step by step I had to carefully get through these sections. Then I met a Swiss couple going north. They had completed the trail all the way from Lugano. We talked a while before we parted company. He had an enormous pack several times the weight of mine.
Before lunch I passed a group af campers on the other shore. They had come upriver with motor boats. I had heard them and their radio for miles before finally seeing them. What a nuisance. Later I encountered one motor boat after another. They were all on their way upstream to Waterfall Imofossen which I had passed yesterday. This is one of the attractions in this National Park. At Sieimahytta I left the river and climbed up the cliffs to take the upper trail which is a former gravel road that is closed for all traffic. I staid on my own at the DNT hut Ovi Raishiin. It is a part of the visitor center of Reisadalen NP.
