Following just a few meters along Lake Virnatnet the E1 takes steady climb up unto the Visvassfjell. Later near the shelter Corrascoie I had to wade through River Daudmannselva. Like most of the river the water was rather cold. After having climbed back up from the river it was a long leisurely descent down to River Randalselva. At shelter Randalskata I stopped for lunch. Getting across River Sør Randalselva I had to follow the markings and not my GPS just like it was two years ago. Instead of crossing the dam E1 crosses further down river across a pedestrian bridge. At the dam are large signs warning to get near. From a tunnel system might come sudden and not announced pressurised air explosions. Having crossed the river the trail and the markings are steadily decreasing. Here the trail definitely needs urgent remarking. Finally I reached a gravel road which is shared by E1. In the evening I arrived at shelter Bolnastua. This hut is located between the road and railway.
Early morning along E1 with view of Lake Virvatnet
Nice trail markings but no trail
The next snow field to be crossed
I had to cross River Daudmannselva near Shelter Corraskoia
This rock formation is named Auronasa
For safety reasons the trail was diverted at River Sør Randalselva
