The day before in the morning I had taken the train to Gagnes. The town is at the start of Saltdalfjord. Soon I had reached the town center. I started with breakfast in the hotel at the fjord. Then I bought food for the next section. Furthermore I bought a new pair of hiking boots. I had enough of getting wet feed. I still head plenty of time to idle away before I could get the train for the return ride. This small town shall get sometime in the future a Norwegian Maritime Museum. It is to be installed in a number of old houses at the water front. I walked from house to house. There where signs at each describing their history. Back in Lønsdal I went back to Saltfjellhotel. Now I got a room. Due to corona the restaurant is closed and only breakfast is served in the morning.
Well fed I continued. First I went down to River Lønselva and then back up on the other valley side through a birch forest to the open country side of Litlfjell. From there I had for a while a good view of the railroad tracks and could see a cargo train. In the valley of River Graddiselva I arrived at Graddis Fjellstue. At bridge Knallerdalbua I had a lat lunch break. From there I followed a gravel road until arriving at DNT-hut Trygvebu. E1 continued along River Skaitielva. In the evening I found a good side for the night.
Train is arriving in Gagnes a town I went to for resupplying
