E1 Norway Tynset - Meråker

Id.6    Section Per-Hansavollen - Nedre Kjølitjønna 29 km

As I had staid a bit off the trail and not wanted to go back I had to go cross country to reach E1 again. This was a rather wet hike. Up on Fjell Storhøgda passing a number of small snow fields I arrived late in the morning at another former iron ore mine. At Klinkengruva another flooded former mine shaft was visible. From here I hiked onwards to Lake Busjøen where I stopped for lunch. On and off the sun was shining. Finally I arrive at the farms Bønsåsen. Along a gravel road passing through wet moors I arrived at River Gaula. Now I had to take a paved road before turning off along another gravel road. I had seen the rain in the distance in the afternoon. Now it became less and less comfortable. The path climbed steadily through open country site. And then it started raining. There the rain arrived and it became colder and colder. At Lake Nedre Kjølitønna I reached a shelter from Alen Fjellstyre. In the driving rain I took cover in the hut and staid for the night. First thing was to start the wood burning stove to get war again and dry my wet clothing. Then I cooked my dinner.
