I had printed the maps covering Västra Vätterleden from the internet. Not to have to road walk until Mullsjö, and as it turned out most of it was paved, did I accept the offer to be driven to Mullsjön by the couple that staid with me at the hostel. First thing at Mullsjö was getting supplies for the next days. The Västra Vätterleden starts at the Hotel Mullsjön. The path passes along the southern and eastern ends of town before it really starts. Today there were some extensive sections of heather. The forest was not so dense with only little underbrush. All day long I was on my own. Towards evening I arrived at the lonely shelter at Lake Södre Kroksjön. During the day the sun had come out more and more.
