Being well nourished and having procured my food I moved on. Soon the nice weather was over and it became windier and it started raining. Until Singi Fjällstuga the trail was rather worn out by hikers heading for Nikkaluokta. From here on the trail was new for me. The weather did hardly change, windy and showers.
Descending to Kaitumjaure Fjällstuga was a long and rather rocky trail. Following my lunch brake I continued to Teusajaure Fjällstuga where I staid over night. Next morning I decided to take the motor boat and not to row across the lake. I left it up to younger hikers to take one of the rowing boats. Over night it had turned even colder. Mountain tops where white from freshly fallen snow. Continuing from the other shore it started drizzling again and again; and it came horizontally. Later it was intermingled by snow. Finally I came down from the fjäll to Vakkotavare Fjällstation. From here on it is a paved road originating from Ritsem and going to Kebnats (Saltoluokta Fjällstation). Almost all hikers take the bus to cross the lake by boat. Hiking Gröna Bandet I had to walk the road (app 30 km). Unfortunately STF had stopped selling food at Vakkotavare. As I had bought enough food at Sälka I had enough food for the road.
I had planned my overnight tent stays in such a way that I arrived at Kebnats towards evening to catch the ferry for Saltoluokta Fjällstation. Here I got a bunk in the dog shelter. Following an extensive shower I bought my food for the next section. Unfortunately dinner was booked out. So I cooked my own meal before retiring for the night. Besides other hikers there was an absolutely quiet dog.
