I got up at 5 am and started out hiking at 6 am. It was freezing cold but dry. Sofar the early start paid out. However it started out with just rocks. The "trail" along the slope above Lake Øvre Bjordalsvatnet consisted of cairns only. I had to find my own way going from one to the next one. Soon after I had gone past Lake Skavlevatnet it started snowing. Than the snow turned into hail which turned into rain. The rain did not really stop before arriving at DNT Lungdalshytta. Here I got a bed in the bunk room. I had not stopped for lunch. Having arrived as one of the last for the night the dry room was full. I could just squeeze my wet rain clothes and boots in. This was no fun day; far too many rocks without trail and rain.
