Haukeliseter

When getting up it was wet outside. After breakfast it had dried up and I began hiking along the paved road and soon turned off on a gravel road. And now a heavy shower started. Shortly after crossing River Kjelaelva the real trail began. In the beginning it was ok to hike. It started getting bad once I arrived at the first scree field at the slope of Mountain Fjellvåknuten. This was a rock scramble across. But it was by far not the worst today. The way up to Pass Turistkaret was no trail at all. Sure it is marked but it has nothing to do with a trail. I had to climb across boulders sometimes with my pack on the back, sometimes without. When without I had to lift up my pack ahead of me and than to try to follow.

 

Eventually I arrived at the next DNT hut. Not many kilometers but many hours where needed today. Three German hikers where already at the hut and a nice fire had warmed up the hut. Another day spent in the mountains.
